Documents! Documents!

And so it's time to recheck passports. Actually it's long overdue as this should be one of the first To Do's since we're both based in Dubai and we'll have our wedding in the Philippines. I've ticked this as done on my checklist without actually doing it (Now, I wonder why I did so). And come month of May, I received an email from our Human Resources Department saying that my passport is due to expire in July! Wuhoo! 4 months before our wedding!! And since I've been hearing a lot of stories about the Consulate here in Dubai delivering slow service I got panicked.

But well, being the research geek me I looked it up and searched my best friend Google on procedures for Passport Renewal here in Dubai, UAE. And here's what I found: Procedures for Passport Renewal in Dubai

It's not that difficult although the waiting to for an appointment can drive you nuts especially if you're in a hurry to get it over with. Nevertheless, I got an appointment for July 22 so Noel and I waited and prepared. I also planned to have an immediate request for extension as I'm worried that the new passport might not arrive in time before our departure on October 26. But the staff there was polite enough to assure us that the passport will be received after 6 weeks maximum and did not let me pay extra for extension. I'm glad as that's less expense for us.

So, that's one To Do done and we're only 186 days to go. Whew!

We took the train to Al Qusais going to the Philippine Consulate in Dubai

Where it will happen

I'm back!! We'll nobody said it's difficult to maintain a blog. hehehe (^_^) After being so busy with work, wedding preps took a very slow turn. Nevertheless, we're so blessed to have a very professional and kind coordinator who's always reminding us - especially me - of the things that are yet to be done.

So as I was browsing through the details of the wedding and was thinking on what to be done for the set up, I saw again the pictures for our ceremony and reception venue and thought of sharing it here:

ceremony venue at the semi-private beach cove
Here is where we'll say our vows and I do's and make our lifetime commitment with each other. This is located on the semi-private beach cove of The Cliff Seagrapes Resort. It's quite a sight but the way coming down here would be a feat so it's advisable to have a very comfy shoes for our guests (*_^)

Any idea how I should go down with my wedding gown on??

We so love the rustic feel of the venue that even though the logistics issues and obstacles are over our head we'll definitely make this happen! With the help of God of course (^_^)

Reception venue - hope it'll all fit us :)
